We are delighted to be partnered with our successful, professional, and very friendly client as they seek to recruit an additional full-time Customer Service Advisor to join their team at their offices in Haywards Heath. This role is an office-based position and offers an excellent opportunity to work within a reputable insurance/financial services company.

Customer Service Advisor

Full-time permanent role

Monday-Friday 0900-1700 (37.5 hours per week - 30 min lunch)

Role based in Haywards Heath - modern offices - 10 min walk from the station. Some parking available on-site along with nearby free street parking.

Salary - £25,000 - £28,000 per year - very good all-round company benefits, including an excellent pension scheme, employee benefits, social events throughout the year, and a staff Christmas party.

The Role - Customer Service Advisor

The role involves a daily mix of phone-based customer service and administration work in a busy and friendly office within an expanding and stable organization.

Customer Service Advisor duties include:
  • Answering and resolving customer queries and taking ownership of tasks via telephone and email.
  • General policy administration.
  • Proactively following up on customer inquiries and converting them to policies where possible.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction is exceeded.
  • Producing high-quality documents and maintaining computer records.
  • Gaining a strong knowledge and understanding of company products.
  • Ensuring compliance with company and regulatory policies.
  • Undertaking regular learning and development.
Experience, competencies, and knowledge required
  • Experience in a telephone-based or customer-facing/support role.
  • Good general education, including GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
  • Customer-focused with a passion for customer service and exceeding expectations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good prioritization and time management skills with high accuracy levels.
  • Good IT skills and eagerness to learn and develop new systems.
