Job summary

Workchain is seeking a Logistics Operations Coordinator in Warwickshire to join a fast-paced team. You will manage shipments from booking to delivery, liaise with carriers and warehouses, and provide proactive customer service to ensure smooth operations.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in logistics, a solid understanding of WMS/TMS, and excellent data accuracy, communication, and multitasking abilities in a busy environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience within logistics, freight forwarding, transport, supply chain, or a 3PL environment.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations, transport planning, and supply chain processes.
• Experience managing shipments from initial booking through to delivery.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships with customers, carriers, warehouses, and internal stakeholders.
• Experience tracking shipments and proactively managing operational challenges.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and administration.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transport Management Systems (TMS), Order Management Systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy, fast-paced environment.
• A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to work closely alongside operational teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer shipments from booking through to successful delivery.
• Monitor and track shipments, proactively identifying and resolving delays or operational issues.
• Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular updates and excellent service.
• Liaise with carriers, transport providers, warehouses, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and operational data.
• Handle customer queries, complaints, and service issues in a professional and timely manner.
• Support warehouse and operations teams to ensure service levels are achieved.
• Assist with reporting, administration, and operational coordination activities.
• Support the invoicing process and help collate billing information where required.
