Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Tamworth is seeking an Operations Coordinator to support a fast-paced, customer-focused operation. You will act as key contact for customers, coordinate daily bookings, liaise with carriers, and use the WMS to track shipments.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and proactive problem solving, with a hybrid approach and opportunities to build stakeholder relationships and develop operational expertise within a global logistics leader.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service experience is essential.
• Knowledge of multi modal experience (air freight, international movement) would be desirable.
• Knowledge/understanding of customs would be desirable.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written.
• Able to work within a team environment and off of their own initiative.
• Strong and effective organising, planning and process work methods.
• Strong IT skills - Excel, Power BI, Microsoft packages.

Responsibilities

• Act as a key point of contact for customers across email, phone, and Teams.
• Coordinate and manage daily customer bookings, ensuring shipment requirements are processed accurately.
• Proactively liaise with carriers and couriers to obtain shipment updates and resolve queries.
• Monitor and track a high-volume operation, handling hundreds of shipments daily.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication.
• Utilise the WMS to manage orders, track shipments, and maintain records.
• Investigate and resolve customer enquiries, providing clear updates and positive service.
