Job summary

Rubicon Recruitment Agency is hiring a Trade Counter Assistant in Poole. Earn up to £30,000 a year in a permanent role with a supportive line manager, ongoing training, and a varied mix of customer contact, order processing and invoicing tasks.

You will help ensure orders are handled with care and accuracy from start to finish, building strong customer relationships while keeping records up to date and communicating order progress clearly.

Qualifications

• Experience in a trade counter or customer-facing sales/order processing role.
• Familiar with order entry, invoicing and keeping records accurate.
• Experience in construction, building supplies or trade merchant environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Process sales and purchase orders accurately through the company’s system.
• Serve customers face to face and by email, building lasting relationships.
• Keep contractors and customers updated on order progress.
• Resolve queries and handle complaints promptly with a calm, helpful approach.
• Raise invoices, support credit control and keep databases up to date.
