Job summary

JD Group is seeking a Store Assistant to deliver a welcoming customer experience, provide product information, and help customers find the right items. You will support sales by identifying needs, recommending products, and promoting complementary items while maintaining tidy displays and stock availability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a positive and welcoming experience for customers, providing support and product information where required.
• Responsible for achieving team sales objectives by identifying customer needs, recommending suitable products, and promoting complementary items.
• Maintain high standards of customer service.
• Maintain high standards of presentation across the shop floor, ensuring fixtures, displays, and stock areas are clean, organised, and well maintained.
• Replenish stock and ensure products are available and correctly displayed in line with company standards.
• Complete operational tasks including processing transactions, cash handling, stock processing, and preparing deliveries.
• Use in-store technology and systems to support customer enquiries and daily store operations.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day running of the store.
• Support with additional duties and tasks, as reasonably required.
• You'll play an active role on the shop floor by greeting customers confidently, keeping displays looking sharp, replenishing stock, and maintaining high service and presentation standards. With a positive attitude, great teamwork, and a passion for helping people, you'll help keep the store running smoothly and showcase the high standards we are known for.
