Job summary

Lantek is seeking a Customer Engineer (CAD/CAM Solutions) to support customers using CAD/CAM software in manufacturing environments. You will diagnose issues, assist with installation and configuration, and help users maximise the value of their CAD/CAM systems through clear guidance.

You will collaborate with teammates on supporting projects, deliver small to mid-size implementations, and provide training and ongoing support through the solution lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Technical background in computer/IT engineering or equivalent.
• Experience on software projects in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and manufacturing workflows is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Lantek systems is desirable.
• Understanding of sheet metal manufacturing processes is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting, installation, configuration, user assistance, training and helpdesk support for Lantek CAD/CAM software.
• Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues and maintain customer relationships.
• Develop small product customisations and document solution requirements.
• Deliver support and implementation for small to medium customer projects.
• Create detailed specifications and provide training throughout the solution lifecycle.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Operations team, this Customer Engineer (CAD/CAM Solutions) role will be responsible for providing assistance to our customers using Lantek's CAD/CAM software solutions within manufacturing environments. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software issues, assist customers with the installation and configuration of applications, and help users maximise the value of their CAD/CAM systems by providing technical guidance and explaining complex concepts clearly.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Consulting & Support

• Provide consulting, specification, installation, configuration, user assistance, training, and helpdesk support for Lantek CAD/CAM softwares solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Proactively collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues, gather product feedback, and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships.

Customisation & Development

• Research, specify, develop, and maintain small product customisations and associated updates.
• Define and document solution requirements and customisations in alignment with customer needs.

Project Support

• Deliver support and implementation for small to medium-sized customer projects.
• Contribute to the implementation phases of larger customer projects as part of a wider team.

Customer Interaction

• Create detailed specifications based on customer requirements.
• Provide training and ongoing support to customers throughout the solution lifecycle

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

REQUIREMENTS

• Technical background, preferably Computer Engineering or IT field.
• Experience in technical projects involving software in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and manufacturing workflows would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Lantek systems would be desirable.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the sheet metal working industry is beneficial.
