Job summary

Lantek is hiring a Customer Engineer (CAD/CAM Solutions) in the United Kingdom to support customers in manufacturing environments. You will diagnose software issues, assist with installation and configuration, and guide users to maximise value from CAD/CAM systems.

You will operate within the Operations team, applying technical knowledge from computer engineering or IT, and collaborate across teams to deliver successful small to medium projects while travelling as needed.

Qualifications

• Technical background in computer engineering or IT.
• Experience in technical projects involving software in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and manufacturing workflows would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Lantek systems would be desirable.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the sheet metal working industry is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide consulting, specification, installation, configuration, user assistance, training, and helpdesk support for Lantek CAD/CAM software solutions.
• Proactively collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues, gather product feedback, and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships.
• Research, specify, develop, and maintain small product customisations and associated updates.
• Define and document solution requirements and customisations in alignment with customer needs.
• Deliver support and implementation for small to medium-sized customer projects.
• Contribute to the implementation phases of larger customer projects as part of a wider team.
• Create detailed specifications based on customer requirements and provide training and ongoing support to customers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As part of the Operations team, this Customer Engineer (CAD/CAM Solutions) role will be responsible for providing assistance to our customers using Lantek's CAD/CAM software solutions within manufacturing environments. You will diagnose and troubleshoot software issues, assist customers with the installation and configuration of applications, and help users maximise the value of their CAD/CAM systems by providing technical guidance and explaining complex concepts clearly.

Duties & Responsibilities

Technical Consulting & Support

• Provide consulting, specification, installation, configuration, user assistance, training, and helpdesk support for Lantek CAD/CAM softwares solutions.
• Collaboration & Communication
• Proactively collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues, gather product feedback, and maintain productive internal and external customer relationships.

Customisation & Development

• Research, specify, develop, and maintain small product customisations and associated updates.
• Define and document solution requirements and customisations in alignment with customer needs.

Project Support

• Deliver support and implementation for small to medium-sized customer projects.
• Contribute to the implementation phases of larger customer projects as part of a wider team.

Customer Interaction

• Create detailed specifications based on customer requirements.
• Provide training and ongoing support to customers throughout the solution lifecycle

Education & Experience

• Technical background, preferably Computer Engineering or IT field.
• Experience in technical projects involving software in an industrial environment.
• Knowledge of CAD/CAM systems and manufacturing workflows would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of Lantek systems would be desirable.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes within the sheet metal working industry is beneficial.

Skills & Abilities

• Native English Speaker. Knowledge of Spanish, German, French, or other languages is a plus.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to understand and evaluate customer expectations.
• Customer oriented-approach.
• Goal-oriented work within the framework of project implementation.
• Willingness to travel.
