Customer Development Executive – East London & Essex

Function: On-Trade


Location: Field Based – East London & Essex


Salary: £29,000 - £36,000 base depending on experience, plus full benefits listed below.


Contract: Permanent


Closing Date: 16th May 2025


About The Role

Reporting to the Customer Development Director, this role involves working closely with team members and key stakeholders to support our value share objectives by driving brand penetration, visibility, and quality across indirect channels. The focus is on increasing net distribution by maintaining current outlets and unlocking new opportunities, ensuring the right brands are in the right outlets.


The Customer Development Executive will activate brand platforms, campaigns, and events in relevant outlets. Collaboration with national and indirect teams is essential to execute tactical activities and explore new opportunities.


Developing a strong network within the geography through regular meetings with customers and contacts is crucial to build a pipeline of new opportunities.


Key Responsibilities
  1. Implement brand penetration, visibility, and quality objectives set by the On-Trade Leadership Team.
  2. Collaborate with national and indirect teams to deliver tactical activities in accounts, adapting to new opportunities.
  3. Prioritize calls to strategically important accounts for maximum impact.
  4. Sell brand propositions passionately to outlet decision-makers, ensuring alignment with outlet type and brand positioning.
  5. Identify suitable outlets for marketing activities and execute promotional campaigns effectively.

We sponsor major events like the Champions League, Rugby’s Champion’s Cup, UEFA Women’s Euros, and The F1, providing great opportunities for involvement.


Candidate Profile

This fast-paced role requires flexibility and adaptability in selling style and tools, building quick, quality relationships. A passion for brands and enthusiasm for discussing our portfolio are essential.


Ideal candidates will have:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in brand selling
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Commercial acumen and negotiation skills

Experience in pubs and beer is not mandatory; we welcome applicants from all sales backgrounds with a passion for brands.
