About the role

As a Customer Delivery Driver, you'll deliver Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers' doors. You will embody our ethos of passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on deliveries, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient operation. Applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

• Start your day in-store, checking your delivery routes.
• Load and prepare your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are organized for efficient delivery.
• Complete vehicle safety checks, maintain road compliance, and adhere to health and safety standards.
• Represent the Waitrose brand on the road with excellent customer service.
• Assist customers with their shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
• Support shop tasks as needed.

Essential skills/experience

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles, is a plus.
