About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll deliver quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You will embody our ethos - passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with daily tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and welcoming environment.

Note: Due to the nature of the role, applicants must be 18 years or older.

Key Responsibilities

1. Start your day in-store, preparing for deliveries.
2. Check your delivery routes and load your van efficiently.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand with excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust.
6. Support shop tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Valid UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Ability to handle physical tasks (e.g., lifting crates, moving cages).
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work independently.
• IT literacy.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
