About the role

As one of our Customer Delivery Drivers, you'll bring quality Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to our customers' doors. You will embody our ethos: passionate Partners serving food lovers. When not on the road, you'll support the shop team with tasks like stock replenishment and housekeeping, contributing to the shop's efficient and welcoming environment.

Note: You must be 18 years or older to work in this role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Start your day in store, preparing for deliveries.
2. Load and prepare your van, ensuring all orders are ready for efficient delivery.
3. Complete vehicle safety checks, maintaining road safety and compliance.
4. Represent the Waitrose brand on the road, prioritizing excellent customer service.
5. Assist customers with shopping and build rapport based on trust and service.
6. Support shop team tasks when required.

Essential skills/experience

• Valid UK manual driving licence (Category B) with no more than 6 points.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good time management.
• Physical ability to handle crates and cages.
• Ability to work independently, be self-motivated, and adaptable.
• IT literacy.

Desirable skills/experience

• Previous driving experience, especially with chilled vehicles.
