Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring premium Waitrose produce and Partner-led service directly to customers’ doors. You will start in-store and then handle deliveries, ensuring orders are complete and routes run smoothly.

The role emphasises excellent customer service, safe driving, and the ability to work independently while supporting the shop team as needed. DBS checks and flexible working may be discussed during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Full valid B-Category UK manual driving licence with no more than 6-points.
• Great customer service skills.
• Time management skills.
• Able to cope with the physical requirements of the role (e.g. lifting of crates, moving cages).
• Comfortable working independently with the ability to be self motivated and adaptable.
• IT literate.

Responsibilities

• Checking your delivery routes for the day.
• Loading and preparing your van for deliveries, ensuring all orders are together and can be efficiently delivered directly to customers.
• Ensuring all of the appropriate vehicle safety checks are complete on your van, maintaining full road compliance, health and safety.
• Being an ambassador for the Waitrose brand while on the road with great customer service as your number one priority.
• Helping customers with their shopping and building a rapport with them based on trust and service.
• Supporting the wider shop team when required with general shopkeeping tasks.
