Job summary

Waitrose & Partners is seeking a Customer Delivery Driver to bring high-quality produce and excellent Partner-led service to customers’ doors. The role is highly active, requiring interaction with customers and on-road driving in modern, well-equipped vehicles.

Daily tasks include stock replenishment, housekeeping at the shop, and supporting the CFC team with warehouse tasks when not on deliveries. DBS checks and flexible working may be required as part of recruitment.

Qualifications

• Full, valid UK manual car driving license (B-category) with ≤6 penalty points.
• Excellent people skills and friendly customer service approach.
• Desirable: experience in delivery or relevant roles.

Responsibilities

• Be a friendly face for the Waitrose brand while on the road, delivering excellent customer service.
• Communicate with customers about order changes, substitutions, or refunds.
• Handle products with care and ensure safe delivery of groceries.
• Ensure substitutions do not incur extra charges to customers.
• Assist customers with groceries and build trust during deliveries.
• Familiarise yourself with daily delivery route planning.
• Carry out safety checks on the delivery vehicle.
• Support the wider CFC team with warehouse tasks when off the road.
