Job summary

Speedy Basildon is seeking a Co-ordinator to join our depot team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with immediate start. You’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring customers get the equipment they need, when and where they need it.

You’ll manage customer enquiries and hire orders, coordinate deliveries and collections, and work closely with drivers, engineers and the wider depot team to deliver excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in the hire industry, customer service, sales or similar operational environment.
• Great communication and relationship-building skills.
• Strong organisation and the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
• A practical, solutions-focused approach to problems.
• Confidence using IT systems.
• A willingness to learn and develop.
• A full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Managing customer enquiries and hire orders from start to finish.
• Building great relationships with customers and delivering excellent service.
• Coordinating equipment availability, deliveries and collections.
• Working closely with our drivers, engineers and wider depot team.
• Resolving customer queries quickly and professionally.
• Keeping hire information and system records accurate and up to date.
• Helping the team maximise equipment utilisation and achieve depot targets.
• Supporting the delivery of Speedy’s ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.
