Job summary

B&Q Inverness is hiring a Checkouts Customer Advisor for a permanent part-time role of 16 hours per week. The position includes shifts from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week, on-site at Inverness. You’ll focus on delivering excellent customer service at the tills, supporting click & collect, and helping run displays.

A friendly, team-oriented attitude and flexibility are essential. We offer a competitive hourly rate, store location allowances, and a range of benefits.

Responsibilities

• Deliver great customer service on the checkouts and on the tills.
• Support click & collect, displays and store presentation.
• Maintain a welcoming, tidy checkout area and assist customers as needed.

Shifts available Monday - Sunday, 7am - 8pm

UK Notional hourly rate £ 13.37 per hour (Inclusive of an £0.27 per hour, store specific location allowance)

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
