Job summary

B&Q Inverness is seeking a Customer Advisor to work part-time (16 hours/week) at our Inverness store. Shifts are Monday to Friday, 6pm–11pm, with a location allowance included in the hourly rate. You will help customers with home improvement needs, manage stock and displays, and ensure the store presents well.

Training will cover paint-mixing and timber cutting, with a strong focus on delivering excellent service and a welcoming shopping experience for every customer.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, enjoy helping others.
• Eager to learn and assist customers.
• Interest in home improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

UK Notional hourly rate £13.37 per hour (Inclusive of an £0.27 per hour, store specific location allowance)

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others.
