Job summary

B&Q Livingston is seeking a friendly, motivated Customer Advisor for Checkouts/Building to join our team on a part-time basis. You will help customers, process sales at tills, and support click & collect and displays to keep the store looking great.

Shifts run Monday to Sunday, 7.00am–10.00pm, with a 3-month fixed term contract and a competitive £13.10 per hour rate. This role requires flexibility, team work and a welcoming attitude to all customers.

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing, eager to learn and comfortable with helping others.
• Willing to adapt to new technology and ways of working.
• Able to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with inquiries and sales at checkouts.
• Support click & collect, displays setup and store presentation.
• Provide excellent service to help customers enjoy their home improvement projects.
• Contribute to a welcoming and efficient store environment.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
