Job summary

B&Q Parkhead is hiring a part-time Checkouts Customer Advisor to help customers at the tills with a friendly, proactive approach. You’ll support sales, assist with click & collect, and ensure displays are neat to create a welcoming shopping experience. You’ll join a diverse team with a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.

The role is 3 months fixed term, with a UK hourly rate of £13.10. You’ll gain training across areas while delivering great service and contributing to store

Qualifications

• Friendly and outgoing with a customer-focused approach.
• Willing to learn and adapt to new technology.
• Able to work on a rota including weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
• Comfortable working as part of a team to hit sales targets.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent tills service and handle cash accurately.

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like click & collect, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in various areas, but on the tills truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What We Need

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
