Job summary

B&Q Inverness is seeking a Customer Advisor to join our team on a full-time contract. You’ll help customers with home improvement needs, advise on products, manage stock, and keep displays tidy to drive sales and store presentation.

You'll be friendly and capable of working a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Training will be provided, including paint-mixing and timber cutting as you develop in the role.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused and eager to help with strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and products.
• Ability to work in a busy retail environment and meet the needs of customers.

Full Time - 36.75 hours per week

Permanent Contract

Shifts available Monday - Sunday, 6.00am - 11pm

UK Notional hourly rate £ 13.37 per hour (Inclusive of an £0.27 per hour, store specific location allowance)

What's the job?

Join our team, and you’ll become an expert advisor. An inspiration as well as a guide. The person who gets to know every customer and their home improvement projects. Sales will be important, of course, as will things like managing stock, setting up displays, and making sure your store looks great. You’ll have the opportunity to be trained in paint-mixing and cutting timber, but truly great customer service will be your main aim.

What We Need

Happy to help, eager to learn and just a little bit obsessed with home improvement, you’ll be right at home with us. You’re friendly and outgoing, and you get a buzz from helping others. You’ll be happy to expand your skills by using new technology and learning new ways of working. You’re great at working in a team too, and flexible enough to work on a rota that includes weekends, evenings and bank holidays.
