Job summary

Sainsbury's is seeking a customer-focused colleague to help shoppers across tills, collection counters and the shop floor. You will help customers, process payments, and share information on rewards and services while staying engaged with promotions and stock areas.

The role emphasizes enthusiasm, high energy in a busy store and teamwork. You will be trained across multiple skills and encouraged to learn and grow within the team.

Qualifications

• Must have friendly, welcoming approach and ability to help customers with queries.
• Comfortable discussing financial services when relevant and clearly explaining options.

Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent customer service at the till, on screens and at collection points.
• Assist customers in finding products, answer questions and provide recommendations.
• Process payments, refunds and handle basic financial service information when needed.
• Maintain knowledge of products, promotions and store policies to assist customers effectively.

Job description

What you'll be doing:

• Ensure our customers have a great shopping experience by delivering excellent customer service on the tills, website screens on the shopfloor and at the collection counter
• Collect products from the stock area for customers, take payments, provide details on our financial service offerings for certain products and process refunds
• Be present on the shop floor helping customers with questions and provide advice on a wide range of products - supporting in the stock room when the store is quiet
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations
