Job summary

JD.COM is seeking a Cross-Border Logistics Quality Manager to oversee data accuracy for cross-border forecasts, review crucial documents, and monitor customs clearance in real time from Milton Keynes. You will lead with teams across forwarders, brokers, carriers and customer service to mitigate delays and resolve exceptions.

The role requires 5+ years in cross-border logistics, 3+ years in a similar quality/ops function, and fluent Chinese and English. A Bachelor’s degree is expected.

Responsibilities

• Forecast Receipt & Entry: enter cross-border cargo forecast data and verify key fields for accuracy.
• Document Review & Follow-up: review commercial invoices, packing lists, customs declarations and origin certificates for completeness and consistency.
• Customs Clearance Tracking: monitor progress real-time, record milestones and escalate delays or inspections.
• Exception Alert & Coordination: lead handling of exceptions, coordinate with forwarders, brokers, carriers and customers for quick closure.
• Quality Improvement & Process Optimization: analyze exceptions, drive SOP optimization to reduce repeat-complaint rates.

Cross-Border Logistics Quality Manager

What You'll Do

• Forecast Receipt & Entry: Receive, verify and enter cross-border cargo forecast information into the system; ensure key data (product name, quantity, value, shipper/consignee) is accurate and complete.
• Document Review & Follow-up: Review customs documents (commercial invoice, packing list, customs declaration, certificate of origin) for completeness, compliance and consistency; follow up on missing or abnormal documents to reduce customs delay risks.
• Customs Clearance Tracking: Monitor customs clearance progress in real time, record milestone timelines, identify exceptions (delays, inspection, detention) and elevate for resolution.
• Exception Alert & Coordination: Lead handling of customs exceptions, cargo damage/loss and last-mile delivery failures; coordinate with forwarders, customs brokers, carriers and customer service for quick closure.
• Quality Improvement & Process Optimization: Conduct root cause analysis based on exception data and complaints; identify quality risks in cross-border operations, drive SOP optimization and standardization to reduce exception and repeat-complaint rates.

• Professional Skills: Capable in cross-border customs operations and document review; familiar with full-chain cross-border logistics processes and customs documentation requirements; experience in logistics exception handling, quality improvement or process optimization projects preferred; strong risk identification, multi-party coordination and root cause analysis skills.
