Our client, a growing consumer goods business operating across international markets, are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to manage inbound supply chain activity across multiple territories within a fast-paced retail environment.
You will oversee shipments, customs activity, warehouse deliveries, supplier coordination and inbound logistics performance to ensure stock arrives on time, in full and at the correct landed cost.
This is a hands-on logistics role working across international freight, customs compliance, inventory systems and supply chain operations in a commercially focused environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end inbound shipments across international suppliers and logistics partners
- Coordinate sea freight, air freight, FCL and LCL shipments in line with forecasted demand
- Monitor and communicate ETAs, sailing schedules and shipment updates to key stakeholders
- Manage container delivery, warehouse bookings and inbound scheduling
- Own and maintain commodity codes, tariff classifications and customs documentation
- Coordinate customs clearance, import declarations and broker relationships
- Manage duty, import VAT, customs compliance and trade requirements
- Support application of free trade agreements and preferential origin processes
- Track supplier readiness and manage critical path delivery milestones
- Resolve goods-in discrepancies, shortages, damages and shipment issues
- Act as the primary contact for freight forwarders, carriers, customs brokers and warehouses
- Review and monitor freight rates, service levels and logistics partner performance
- Manage freight budgets, landed cost reporting and invoice reconciliation
- Maintain shipment trackers, logistics records and inventory system updates
- Produce reporting across on-time delivery, freight spend, lead times and supply risks
- Support duty, VAT and freight audits with accurate documentation
- Collaborate with merchandising, finance, warehouse and supplier teams across the supply chain
Skills and experience
- Strong experience within a logistics, supply chain or import coordination role
- Knowledge of international freight operations, including sea and air freight
- Experience managing customs clearance, import documentation and compliance processes
- Understanding of commodity codes, tariff classifications, duty and Incoterms
- Experience coordinating freight forwarders, customs brokers and warehouse partners
- Strong analytical capability with experience producing logistics and supply chain reporting
- Experience using Microsoft Excel and inventory or purchase order management systems
- Ability to manage multiple shipments, priorities and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the confidence to challenge and elevate issues when required
- High attention to detail and a commercial approach to cost control and logistics performance
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced retail, product or consumer goods environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
