Job summary

Keoghs LLP is seeking a Senior Technical Supervisor to support credit hire file handlers in Lancashire. You will supervise, mentor and coach staff, drive technical policies and maintain accurate records while ensuring compliance with SRA standards and internal SLAs.

You will manage a 10-15 claim caseload valued above £25k, develop new starters, and report to the Tactical Delivery Director. The role emphasizes technical progression and excellence within the unit.

Qualifications

• Credit hire experience in a defendant or claimant role.
• Qualified Solicitor or equivalent qualification.
• Experience handling your own caseload.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines.
• Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to anticipate problems and identify solutions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise credit hire file handlers per competency framework and maintain accurate technical development records.
• Mentor and coach individuals to extend technical knowledge.
• Assist with pre-audit assessments for external and internal audits.
• Identify training needs and report to team leaders and delivery directors.
• Complete all pre-trial reviews no later than 6 weeks prior to Trial/Disposal.
• Develop new starters to achieve first financial authority within 6 months.
• Manage file handlers on performance improvement plans for technical issues.
• Meet personal targets set by directors.
• Handle a caseload of 10-15 claims with values over £25k.
• Ensure compliance with SRA Standards and Regulations.
• Adhere to Keoghs values.
