Job summary

Hannon Transport Limited is seeking a Credit Controller to manage customer accounts across the UK and Ireland from our Aghalee base. You will ensure timely collection of debts, maintain accurate debtor records, and support cash flow in a fast-paced transport and logistics environment.

The role reports to the Credit Control Manager within Finance. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, be deadline-driven and comfortable liaising with internal teams and customers.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Credit Control or Accounts Receivable role (essential).
• Strong communication and negotiation skills (essential).
• Ability to build effective working relationships with customers and internal teams (essential).
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills (essential).
• Confident using finance systems and strong knowledge in Microsoft Excel (essential).
• Ability to work to deadlines in a high-volume environment (essential).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts across UK & Ireland.
• Ensure invoices are collected in line with payment terms.
• Proactively chase overdue debts via phone, email, and written correspondence.
• Liaise with operations, sales, and finance teams to resolve queries.
• Monitor aged debtor balances and escalate high-risk accounts.
• Attend Weekly Credit Control meetings with the team.
