Confidential in Chester is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our finance team. You will manage customer accounts and ensure invoices are paid on time, while building strong relationships with clients.

You'll typically handle 40-50 calls per day, use Sage and other internal systems, and collaborate across departments to resolve payment issues. The role offers a clear development path and a friendly, supportive team environment.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and email regarding outstanding invoices.
• Chase overdue payments in a professional and friendly manner.
• Investigate and resolve payment queries.
• Escalate complex issues where necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of customer communications and payment updates.
• Process and update information using Sage and internal systems.
• Support the wider finance team during busy periods.
• Assist with general administrative tasks as required.
