Job summary

Reed in Chester is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our friendly finance team. You will manage customer accounts, chase overdue invoices and maintain accurate records using Sage and other systems.

The role offers a 9:00–17:30, Monday to Friday schedule with hybrid working available after 6 months (1 day per week from home). Salary starts at £28,000 with a planned increase to £30,000 after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control is required.
• Strong communication and telephone skills.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Sage is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact customers by phone and email about invoices.
• Chase overdue payments professionally and promptly.
• Investigate payment queries and resolve issues.
