Job summary

Confidential in Rochdale, Greater Manchester seeks an experienced Credit Controller to join on a permanent, full-time basis. You will manage a busy ledger, drive cash flow, and work in a hybrid model (2 days WFH). Salary £30,000-£33,000, with 9-5 hours, Mon-Fri.

Applicants must have at least three years in credit control, strong communication, and a pragmatic approach to resolving queries. Training and progression opportunities exist within a larger group.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in a dedicated Credit Control role.
• Experience managing a full debt collection cycle.
• Strong communication, attention to detail and organisation.
• Intermediate Excel skills.
• Experience with SAGE 200, TimeGate or CASH (advantageous).
• CICM qualification or working towards CICM (beneficial).

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and ensure invoices are paid on time.
• Chase overdue debt by phone and email in a professional, confident manner.
• Allocate incoming payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Investigate invoice queries and discrepancies.
• Monitor aged debt and maintain debtor reports.
• Escalate overdue or high-risk accounts when needed.
• Support review of credit limits and help minimise credit risk.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Account Management teams.
• Provide clear updates to the finance team on outstanding debt and risks.
