Oasis Business Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join our Milton Keynes-based team. The role is permanent, full-time, with hybrid working from MK9 and clear responsibilities for debt collection and credit management.

You will own ledgers, chase overdue payments, assess credit risk, set limits, and work with the sales team to balance cash collection with sales objectives. The position offers a structured benefits package and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control experience is essential.
• Shorthand knowledge of credit control processes and collections.
• Strong communication and organisation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own a sales ledger and chase overdue balances to ensure timely payments.
• Contact customers by phone and written correspondence to recover debts.
• Agree settlements and authorise release of held orders as appropriate.
• Respond to account queries and coordinate with internal teams.
• Review credit risk and set up new credit accounts.
• Determine and manage credit limits and extend credit with sales input.
• Maintain detailed records of contact and collection activity.
• Provide cover for colleagues in absences and meet monthly collection targets.
