Job summary

GXO Logistics in Northampton is seeking a proactive Credit Controller to manage customer accounts and drive timely collections. This role features hybrid working, with a focus on relationship-building with customers and internal teams to support cash flow.

You will own your ledger, resolve queries efficiently, and identify collection risks while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach. A CICM pathway may be available through Apprenticeship Scheme.

Qualifications

• Previous credit control experience, or at least 3 years in a related role.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and prioritisation.
• Proactive, results-driven team player with problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of Oracle ERP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts ensuring timely payment collection.
• Build strong customer relationships via phone and email.
• Investigate invoice queries and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare statements, reminders, and status updates.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and cover holidays.
