Job summary

Huntress is recruiting a proactive Credit Controller for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Redhill. You will manage your own customer ledger, drive cash collection and resolve queries in a fast-paced finance team.

This role focuses on chasing outstanding debt, maintaining service levels, and building strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders while meeting monthly targets.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2–3 years' experience in a Credit Control position.
• Experience working in a high-volume environment, ideally within a B2B setting.
• A proven track record of collecting outstanding debt and achieving targets.
• Strong Excel skills and good numerical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the confidence to manage challenging conversations professionally.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to organise and prioritise your workload effectively.
• A calm, confident and resilient approach, particularly when working under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Managing a ledger of B2B customer accounts.
• Proactively chasing outstanding debt via telephone.
• Working towards team cash collection targets and reducing aged debt, with a particular focus on 90+ day balances.
• Investigating and resolving customer queries promptly to ensure service levels and agreed SLAs are maintained.
• Reviewing and assessing customer credit limits when required.
• Maintaining accurate records and ensuring all daily credit control processes are completed efficiently.
• Building and maintaining strong working relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Prioritising workloads effectively to maximise collections and meet deadlines.
