Job summary

Marks Sattin are seeking an experienced Credit Controller for a 12-month fixed-term contract in Kent. You will manage a high-volume ledger, chase overdue invoices, and support the cash collection process while maintaining strong customer relationships.

The role requires 2–3 years in credit control, strong Excel skills, and the ability to investigate complex queries. You will work with the finance team to meet monthly targets in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of credit control experience.
• Experience managing high-volume accounts and debt collection.
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Good organisational abilities with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and collect invoices on terms.
• Chase overdue debt via email and phone.
• Minimise aged debt with accurate notes and action plans.
• Investigate, escalate and resolve complex queries.
• Process credit notes per policy.
• Identify payment risks and escalate to management.
• Participate in debtor reviews and cash targets.
• Reconcile accounts and analyse large datasets.
• Build strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Prioritise workload in a busy environment.
• Support finance colleagues during peak periods.
