Job summary

Workforce Staffing Ltd in West Bromwich is seeking a Credit Controller to join our busy finance team, reporting to the Credit Control Manager. You will manage a section of the accounts receivable ledger, monitor credit terms, issue statements, and support month-end procedures.

The role requires strong communication and negotiation skills, proficiency in spreadsheets, and the ability to work to deadlines. Experience in credit control and Autoline (Kerridge) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in busy Credit Control environments.
• Strong communication and negotiation with customers at all levels.
• Ability to organise and prioritise workload with minimal supervision.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor accounts to ensure credit terms and limits are not exceeded and discuss modifications with the Credit Control Manager.
• Ensure statements are sent to customers.
• Create spreadsheets as required by customers.
• Complete dunning cycle for overdue accounts and hand to solicitors when necessary.
• Contact customers by phone/email regarding debt collection.
• Liaise with depots to resolve queries and send payment links.
• Set up new accounts and interpret information from Credit Reference Agencies for correct limits.
