Job summary

SThree in Glasgow is hiring a Credit Controller on a 6-month fixed-term contract to manage a high-volume ledger and drive cash collection while delivering a best-in-class client experience. Strong negotiation and Excel skills are essential.

You’ll manage client accounts to ensure invoices are paid on time, proactively chase debt, resolve queries with internal teams, and support cash targets. We offer hybrid working, a performance bonus, generous holidays, and employee discounts.

Qualifications

  • Strong collections experience (ideally in a B2B environment).
  • Experience managing a high-volume ledger.
  • Knowledge of O2C processes and credit risk principles.
  • Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).

Responsibilities

  • Managing a portfolio of client accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Proactively chasing debt using all channels, with a focus on telephone engagement.
  • Resolving queries and disputes by working closely with internal teams and stakeholders.
  • Delivering against cash collection, debt and DSO targets.
  • Producing customer statements and maintaining accurate account records.
  • Escalating accounts where necessary and supporting legal recovery processes.
  • Collaborating with Billing, Placement Support and Sales Ledger teams.

What you’ll do
