Job summary

Arden Personnel Limited is partnering with a well-established services business in Alcester to recruit a Credit Controller. You will manage your own sales ledger, chase payments, and control aged debt from a busy office-based environment.

You’ll work in a friendly finance team, helping to improve cash flow and business performance. Salary ranges from £28,000 to £30,000 DOE plus company benefits, with a clear path for development in a growing organisation.

Qualifications

• B2B credit control experience
• Strong track record in aged debt recovery and cash collection
• Confident communication and negotiation skills
• Experience with a varied customer base including larger corporate accounts
• Good Excel, systems and reconciliation skills
• Experience with customer billing and payment portals is a real plus

Responsibilities

• Managing your own sales ledger and collecting outstanding debt against company targets
• Chasing payments by phone, email and customer portals
• Keeping on top of aged debt and ensuring overdue balances are actively managed
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries
• Taking part in regular debtor review meetings
• Getting to grips with customer portal invoicing and approval processes
• Spotting bad debt risks early and escalating concerns
• Liaising with legal advisors and debt collection agencies when needed

Our client is a well-established specialist services business with a large and growing customer base. Because of continued growth, they re creating an additional Credit Controller role in their friendly, supportive finance team. You d have a real, visible impact on cash flow and business performance.

What you ll be doing
