Job summary

Kennedy Pearce Consulting is seeking a permanent Credit Controller to own a book portfolio, run collections efficiently and maintain FCA-aligned processes. The role includes daily reporting, agency liaison, and cash allocations.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in credit control, experience with leasing/financial services is a plus, and strong MS Office skills with excellent communication. Hybrid working and pension are provided.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' credit control experience in a B2B environment.
  • Experience/knowledge of leasing and financial services is advantageous, FCA environment knowledge.
  • GCSE English and Maths grade B or above.
  • Strong systems skills including Microsoft Office.
  • Well organised with ability to prioritise a varied workload.

Responsibilities

  • Daily credit control via telephone, letter and email in line with collection cycle.
  • Produce daily arrears report and report to senior stakeholders.
  • Manage external debt collection agencies.
  • Manage litigation cases as required.
  • Update customer records with direct debit mandates.
  • Process daily direct debit collections and cash allocation.
  • Handle customer queries and complaints promptly.
  • Produce monthly arrears report for Board reporting.

Job description

Our Client seeks a permanent Credit Controller to join their expanding team on a permanent basis. The Credit Controller will own and perform collections activity for this organisation having your own book portfolio to minimise debtor balances & exposure whilst treating customers fairly in line with FCA requirements.

Duties of the Credit Controller include:
  • Daily credit control via telephone, letter and email in line with agreed collection cycle and whilst maintaining accurate activity records.
  • Produce daily arrears report and report to senior stakeholders on a daily basis.
  • Management of external debt collection agencies
  • Management of litigation cases as required.
  • Update customer records with direct debit mandates.
  • Process daily direct debit collections and cash allocation.
  • Manage customer queries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Produce monthly arrears report for Board reporting purposes.
  • Develop and maintain collection processes and procedures taking into account FCA compliance requirements.
  • General lease administration of Own Book portfolio including activating and terminating proposals along with raising settlement quotes and invoices.
  • Assisting in both internal and external audit as required
  • Support the development of processes and procedures through pro‑active, constructive challenge and feedback.
  • Close collaboration with other members of the Finance team and other departments to ensure key deliverables are achieved.
Requirements for the Credit Controller include:
  • 3 Years+ previous credit control experience in a business‑to‑business environment.
  • Although training will be provided, experience and knowledge of leasing and financial services is a distinct advantage including working knowledge of the FCA regulatory environment.
  • Minimum GCSE English and Maths both grade B or above.
  • Strong systems skills including Microsoft Office
  • Conscientious and accurate with attention to detail along with a 'can do' attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Well organised and able to prioritise and manage a varied workload in a dynamic organisation.
  • Good team player with ability to engage at all levels.

£95000 - £110000 per annum + Pension, Hybrid working

£60000 - £70000 per annum + benefits, up to 35 days annual leave
