Job summary

Arden Personnel Limited in Alcester is seeking a Credit Controller to join a growing finance team. You will manage your own sales ledger, chase payments, and actively manage aged debt to support cash flow.

The role is office-based in Alcester with a basic salary of £28,000–£30,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits. A strong track record in B2B credit control and excellent Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• B2B credit control experience.
• Aged debt recovery & cash collection track record.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with varied customer base including major accounts.
• Good Excel, systems and reconciliation skills.
• Experience with customer billing and payment portals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own sales ledger and collect debt against targets.
• Chase payments by phone, email and customer portals.
• Keep on top of aged debt and actively manage overdue balances.
• Investigate and resolve invoice queries.
• Take part in regular debtor review meetings.
• Get to grips with customer portal invoicing and approval processes.
• Spot bad debt risks early and escalate concerns.
• Liaise with legal advisors and debt collection agencies when needed.

Our client is a well-established specialist services business with a large and growing customer base. Because of continued growth, they re creating an additional Credit Controller role in their friendly, supportive finance team. You d have a real, visible impact on cash flow and business performance.

What you ll be doing

• Managing your own sales ledger and collecting outstanding debt against company targets
• Chasing payments by phone, email and customer portals
• Keeping on top of aged debt and making sure overdue balances are actively managed
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries
• Taking part in regular debtor review meetings
• Getting to grips with customer portal invoicing and approval processes
• Spotting bad debt risks early and escalating concerns
• Liaising with legal advisors and debt collection agencies when needed
