Job summary

Arden Personnel Limited is seeking a Credit Controller to join their Alcester-based office team. You will manage the sales ledger, chase payments and reduce aged debt to support cash flow and business performance.

Working in a friendly finance team, you will use ERP and accounting systems and customer portals to streamline invoicing and collections. Salary ranges £28,000-£30,000 depending on experience, plus company benefits.

Qualifications

• B2B credit control experience required.
• Proven track record in aged debt recovery and cash collection.
• Confident communication and negotiation skills.
• Experience with Excel and reconciliation tasks.
• Experience with customer billing and payment portals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own sales ledger and collecting outstanding debt against company targets.
• Chasing payments by phone, email and customer portals.
• Keeping on top of aged debt and ensuring overdue balances are actively managed.
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries.
• Participating in regular debtor review meetings.
• Getting to grips with customer portal invoicing and approval processes.
• Spotting bad debt risks early and escalating concerns.
• Liaising with legal advisors and debt collection agencies as needed.

Our client is a well-established specialist services business with a large and growing customer base. Because of continued growth, they’re creating an additional Credit Controller role in their friendly, supportive finance team. You’d have a real, visible impact on cash flow and business performance.

What you’ll be doing

• Managing your own sales ledger and collecting outstanding debt against company targets
• Chasing payments by phone, email and customer portals
• Keeping on top of aged debt and making sure overdue balances are actively managed
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries
• Taking part in regular debtor review meetings
• Getting to grips with customer portal invoicing and approval processes
• Spotting bad debt risks early and escalating concerns
• Liaising with legal advisors and debt collection agencies when needed

What you’ll bring

• A strong track record in aged debt recovery and cash collection
• Confident communication and negotiation skills
• Experience with a varied customer base, including larger corporate accountsGood Excel, systems and reconciliation skills
