Job summary

Jones Whyte is a Glasgow-based law firm seeking a Finance credit control professional for a six-month fixed-term, full-time role at West George Street. You will raise invoices, take payments, set up payment plans, and keep case files up to date to support firm cashflow.

You will work with fee earners and staff across departments, reporting to the Head of Credit Control, with a structured induction and potential hybrid working after training.

Qualifications

• Experience in credit control, collections or a similar payments role.
• Customer service experience with a confident and courteous phone manner.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with figures.
• Ability to manage your own workload and prioritise across several departments.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.

The opportunity

Every department in the firm relies on our credit control function to invoice clients and get paid on time. For the next six months, you'll be the person clients speak to about their bills. You'll take payments, agree payment plans and keep case files up to date, all at a firm that is growing quickly.

The team

You will join our Finance team at West George Street and report to Laura Stuart, Head of Credit Control. The wider team is made up of the Finance Director, Head Cashier, Legal Cashiers, Credit Controllers and Cashroom Assistants. You will have a structured induction, a named point of contact, regular check-ins. You will also work with fee earners and support staff in every department, so you will get to know the wider firm quickly.
