Summary and purpose of the Job

Wavenet is looking for a highly organised and proactive Credit Control Administrator to join our dynamic Credit Control team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and has a strong eye for detail.

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the credit control inbox , ensuring timely responses to customer queries. You'll support the monthly statement run , help manage the direct debit process , and assist in our customer suspension process by communicating effectively and arranging payment plans when needed. You’ll also handle cash posting, allocation , and a range of administrative tasks to support the department.

We’re looking for someone who is efficient, confident working with numbers, and comfortable producing detailed reports and written communication. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy and professionalism are key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

Manage customer queries via the credit control inbox, liaising with credit controllers.

Process and manage direct debits, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

Encourage customer sign‑up to direct debit and ensure mandates are correctly set up.

Handle the monthly statement run and respond to related queries.

Assist with the customer suspension process, including follow‑ups and payment arrangements.

Perform accurate cash posting and allocations.

Take customer calls and process payments over the phone.

Complete general admin duties such as updating systems, processing forms, arranging refunds, and handling ad hoc tasks.

  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with Sage 200 Cloud is desirable
  • Background in telecoms or technology sectors is an advantage
  • A flexible, team‑oriented approach with a positive ‘can‑do’ attitude
  • Calm under pressure, self‑motivated, and driven to meet targets
