The charity receives thousands of entries to its annual Koestler Awards for people in the criminal justice system, across poetry, poetry collection, spoken word, stage play, fiction and more. Each piece receives a tailored response. Koestler Arts exhibitions and events feature hundreds of pieces of creative writing and spoken word that engage audiences across the UK. This new post will build on this work, leaving a lasting legacy and enhancing our impact.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Innovative showcasing ideas that put our participants’ voices at the heart of communicating to audiences — and the practical skills to make them happen.
  • Experience of engaging people who are new to poetry, writing and spoken word activities.
