Job summary

Foley in Claygate, part of Young's, is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our warm and vibrant pub kitchen. You will lead in a busy kitchen, developing menus and guiding the team to deliver fresh, seasonal dishes with outstanding service.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to design menus and daily specials, train staff, manage GP and labour, and ensure top quality food and guest satisfaction in a welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an existing Sous Chef or Senior CDP capable of leading a team with passion for producing quality fresh food.
• Demonstrates communication skills and hands-on cooking ability to drive consistent service.
• Proactive in planning, organising and maintaining GP and labour controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop kitchen staff alongside the Head Chef.
• Create and deliver new dishes and daily specials with creative input.
• Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation at all times.
• Manage kitchen rota, training and health & safety procedures.
