Job summary

Fuller’s in Wickham is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to support the Head Chef and lead the kitchen in their absence. You’ll prepare fresh dishes from seasonal, local ingredients and help drive our commitment to quality.

This role offers induction, training, and opportunities to develop recipes, with a strong focus on teamwork, hygiene, and delivering great experience for guests in our pub and hotel settings.

Qualifications

• A hygiene qualification, excellent food knowledge and food safety awareness are essential.
• Experience with seasonal, local ingredients is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and leadership skills in a kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as deputy to the Head Chef and lead the kitchen in their absence.
• Ensure dishes are prepared fresh using seasonal, local ingredients.
• Create new dishes and inspire the kitchen team to excel.
• Uphold high standards of hygiene and service in every service.
