Job summary

Bridge College, part of the Together Trust, is seeking a creative Music and Performance Facilitator to work in Openshaw, Manchester. You will develop and deliver music, drama and performing arts sessions for learners aged 16-25 with disabilities and complex needs, helping them gain confidence and practical skills.

Working with the Lead Tutor, you will expand Bridge College's performing arts offer, coordinate shows, and create work-based learning opportunities; some evening or out-of-hours work

Qualifications

  • Level 3/4 vocational qualification and relevant experience.
  • Experience in education with learners with additional needs.
  • Experience planning activities for learners with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • Experience facilitating work-based or vocational learning environments.
  • Able to adapt activities and communication approaches for diverse learning needs.
  • Commitment to professional development and to Bridge College and Together Trust ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging music and drama sessions, adapted to the individual needs and abilities of learners.
  • Deliver activities covering singing, instrumental skills, music technology, composition, improvisation, storytelling, script work and performance.
  • Lead the development of Bridge College's performing arts offer, helping to create an exciting and inclusive vocational learning environment.
  • Support students to develop and participate in performances, productions and showcases for peers, families and the wider community.
  • Create opportunities for students to develop work-based learning and enterprise skills within performing arts.
  • Support students with rehearsing, staging, sound, lighting and other performance-related activities.
