Job summary

Bridge College, part of Together Trust, in Openshaw, Manchester, is seeking a Music and Performance Facilitator to develop and deliver music, drama and performing arts for students aged 16 to 25 with disabilities and complex needs.

You will plan sessions, lead performances, support work experience and adapt activities to individual learners, with evening or out-of-hours work occasionally.

Qualifications

• A Level 3/4 vocational qualification.
• Experience of working in education with groups of young people with additional needs.
• Experience of planning and delivering activities for young people with learning disabilities and/or autism.
• Experience in vocational or work-based learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging music and drama sessions, tailored to learners' needs.
• Deliver activities covering singing, instrumental skills, music technology, composition, improvisation, storytelling, script work and performance.
• Lead the development of Bridge College's performing arts offer.
• Support students to develop and participate in performances, productions and showcases.
• Create opportunities for students to develop work-based learning and enterprise skills within performing arts.
• Support students with rehearsing, staging, sound, lighting and other performance-related activities.
• Use learning support plans and communication strategies to support performances, workshops and enterprise activities, including occasional evenings or out-of-hours work.
