Job summary

Bob and Berts Omagh is seeking a passionate Cook to lead our kitchen, crafting high-quality comfort dishes with fresh, local ingredients. You will develop seasonal menus, manage daily prep, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced cafe setting.

The role supports weekends and early mornings, offering a collaborative, creative environment with opportunities to grow within the store’s friendly team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a chef or cook in a cafe, bistro, or fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Proven ability to create menus, manage costs, and work with seasonal produce.
• Efficient, clean, and able to work under pressure.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Menu & Creativity: Develop and execute creative, fresh, seasonal cafe menus for breakfast and lunch.
• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items to high quality standards.
• Consistency & Presentation: Ensure dishes are prepared to spec and presented well.
• Stock & Ordering: Monitor stock, manage inventory, and place orders with suppliers.
• Hygiene & Safety: Maintain a spotless kitchen and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Teamwork & Operations: Collaborate with front-of-house staff to support service and handle allergies.
