Job summary

Bob and Berts Ballymena is seeking a chef or experienced cook for daytime, part-time shifts including weekends. You will cook fresh breakfast and lunch, contribute to seasonal menus, and help run a busy kitchen with a friendly café team.

We value reliability, a calm approach, and good organisation. The right candidate should have café/kitchen experience, food safety knowledge, and be eligible to work in the UK.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef or cook in a café, bistro or fast-paced kitchen.
• Confidence preparing quality food quickly, cleanly and consistently.
• Food Hygiene Certificate is preferred; right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook fresh breakfast and lunch dishes to a high standard.
• Help shape seasonal menus using fresh, local ingredients.
• Keep service organised, efficient and calm during busy periods.
• Monitor stock, support ordering and reduce food waste.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene and allergen standards.
• Work closely with front-of-house team to deliver a smooth customer experience.
