Job summary

Colten Care in Ferndown seeks an Activities Organiser to brighten daily life for residents. You'll design a varied calendar of activities—from arts and crafts to quizzes, gardening, music, gentle movement, and events—while supporting trips and one-to-one engagement.

You'll work closely with the care team to weave activities into everyday routines, build strong ties with families, and help the home welcome community visitors, ensuring records are kept up to date and communications visually

Qualifications

• Creative with plenty of ideas for fun, stimulating activities.
• Organised and confident at planning events and encouraging others to get involved.
• Strong IT skills

Responsibilities

• Creating a varied calendar of activities reflecting residents’ interests (arts and crafts, quizzes, gardening, music, gentle exercise, events).
• Supporting residents on minibus trips (may involve personal care).
• Supporting residents one-to-one and in group settings.
• Building strong relationships with residents, their families and friends.
• Bringing the local community into the home with visits and outings.
• Working closely with the care team so activities are part of daily life.
• Completing administration tasks and keeping records up to date.
• Creating visuals for the marketing team to showcase the team’s work.
