Job summary

Coniston House Care Home is looking for an enthusiastic Activity Coordinator to design and deliver a varied programme of activities for residents living with dementia. You will tailor activities to individual interests, work with staff and external partners, and help create meaningful daily experiences.

You will manage planning, documentation and resources, using MS Office tools and a person-centred approach.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting people living with dementia.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to plan activities in advance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and coordinate a programme of recreational activities for residents.
• Work with other agencies to deliver group and person-centred activities.
• Provide social stimulation, emotional support and motivation to residents.
• Prepare activity planners and documentation to a high standard.
• Attend meetings and assist with fundraising and community engagement.
• Ensure activities are suitable for varying health needs and preferences.
