Job summary

E-ACT Royton & Crompton Academy is seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to provide high-quality supervision during teacher absence, ensuring continuity of learning and a positive classroom environment.

The role focuses on promoting strong behaviour, supporting learning across subjects, and building positive relationships with students and staff. This maternity cover is 37 hours per week, term-time, with a supportive trust culture and clear progression pathways.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or above) and a Level 3 Cover Supervison, HLTA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience supervising children in a school environment and supporting a range of learning needs.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to promote positive behaviour and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons during teacher absence, ensuring students remain engaged with set work.
• Promote high standards of behaviour, creating a positive and productive learning environment.
• Support students’ learning, encouraging participation, independence and inclusion.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff on learning and behaviour.
• Assist with student supervision and contribute to the wider life of the academy
