Job summary

Emmanuel Middle School is seeking a cover supervisor to supervise and support pupils during short-term or unforeseen teacher absences. The role requires enthusiasm, teamwork, and a commitment to high teaching and learning standards within the school’s ethos.

The post is part-time, 30 hours per week, for 39 weeks per year, with permanency and a start date around 18-Oct-2026. Training and progression towards teacher training are offered.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and well-motivated, able to work as part of a team.
• Qualified to a degree level (or equivalent) and aiming to teach.
• Willing to undertake training and teacher training within 2–3 years.
• Capable of engaging pupils and supporting learning in line with school policies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during short-term or unforeseen absences.
• Support learning activities and maintain a constructive learning environment.
• Manage behaviour to support learning in line with school policies.
